This is a customized configuration of the VP4670 for the Viasat ADNOC project.
The Vault is a small form network appliance built for use as a firewall / router, virtualization platform, a daily-driven personal computer, and more. The VP4600 line is the second phase of the Vault Pro series with higher performance and newer technology than the original FW series.
The VP4670 features an Intel 10th Generation CPU, i7-10810U, 6x Intel i225-V 2.5G Network ports, M.2 SATA or NVMe storage, and DDR4 DRAM.
The Vault uses standard Intel CPU and network ports which results in compatibility with a large variety of operating systems, including a number of open source firewall projects. The Vault is fanless so it has no moving parts, which results in an incredibly durable platform that can be used in less than ideal environments. Its all aluminum enclosure (no plastic here) is a giant heat sink, keeping the CPU cool.
The VP4670 can accommodate up to 64GB DDR4 RAM in 2x DDR4 SODIMM slots and has an M.2 2280 SATA or NVMe SSD storage slot in addition to a built-in 16GB eMMC module. There are also standard SATA data and power connectors and mounting brackets for an optional internal 2.5″ SATA SSD.
