New Vault Pro Variants, Now Without eMMC

We’ve been developing non-eMMC versions of our Vault Pros. The first of these is already here: the VP2430e.

It’s identical to the VP2430 in every way except one: the onboard eMMC storage has been removed. eMMC components have become increasingly expensive to source, and rather than pass that cost on to our customers, we’ve made the call to leave it out. Most of our customers install their own drive anyway, so for most use cases you won’t notice the difference.

One thing to know before you order is that the VP2430e has no onboard storage. When you order from our website you can choose a storage option and we will preinstall and test it before your unit ships. Prefer to bring your own? It has an M.2 2280 NVMe slot and a 2.5″ SATA bay, so just add your own SSD.

The VP2430e replaces the VP2430 and is available now. If you need the original VP2430 with eMMC, it remains available as a build-to-order option: reach out to our team and we’d be happy to help.

Next up, the VP2420 and VP2440 will both be getting non-eMMC versions, and the VP4600 Series will follow. The same transition will also be coming to our EU and CA stores.
