The perfect accessory for Protectli appliances with an M.2 2230 E-key slot, typically intended for a WiFi card. If you aren’t running wireless, that slot can be utilized as a secondary storage bay. This industrial SSD drops straight into it, adding dedicated NVMe storage while your primary M-key slot stays free for the boot drive.
Keep firewall and IDS logs, packet captures, VM and container images, or configuration backups on their own device, where retention and write volume never compete with the OS disk and where you can wipe or swap the data drive without rebuilding the system.
It is an industrial-grade part rather than a consumer one, built on 3D TLC NAND with global wear levelling, power-shielding firmware, end-to-end data protection and AES-256 hardware encryption, so it is specified for the continuous, write-heavy duty cycle that log retention actually is.
